Canada’s Music Incubator (CMI) is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to providing customized, hands-on creative and entrepreneurial development for emerging artists, artist managers and industry professionals. In doing so, we recognize that being accessible for ongoing mentorship is critical in helping creative entrepreneurs successfully build sustainable businesses and careers.

Vel Omazic
Co-Founder & Executive Director
Vel runs the business; leads by example; engages CMI’s Board, partners, sponsors and funders. He puts his heart into developing artists, managers and building CMI.
Jesse Mitchell
Director of Live Events & Artist Curation
Jesse spearheads CMI’s Live Events division, connecting artists across Canada with paid performance opportunities. He also leads curation efforts for CMI’s core professional development programs.
Ryan Warner
Programs Director
Ryan oversees the development of all programming ensuring that what CMI delivers truly satisfies the needs of the individual artist or manager.
Kate Buote
Programs Manager
Kate ensures that all CMI’s programs run smoothly and are providing impactful development opportunities to any artist or manager that comes through our doors.
Kyle Martin
Live Events Coordinator
Kyle assists in the planning and execution of all activities connected to CMI’s Live Event division and all other logistical needs of the organization
Taija Grey
Digital Marketing Coordinator
Taija's role of Digital Marketing Coordinator tasks her with assisting the team in the development and maintenance of our marketing initiatives, social spaces and online communities.
