AEWest Spotlight: Jody Glenham

Our AEWest program begins in just a few weeks and while applications are still open we are sharing a few past participants experiences and successes.

How have you grown as a musician since AEWest? 

Carol Lynn’s private vocal lesson was awesome! Her tips and observations have been most helpful. 

What was the most valuable lesson? 

I most appreciated the one-on-one sessions with all the mentors.  

What challenged you the most? 

Being the eldest in the group did make relating to some of the subject matter difficult. 

What was the most meaningful moment of the program?  

Connecting with other artists who were trying to navigate this pandemic year to the best of their ability.  

How have you been able to use what you’ve learned in your career? 

Not yet. I did reach out to some of the radio contacts provided through the program but was unsuccessful at the time. Actual introductions would have been really helpful! 

How did the program change the way you think about your business? 

It’s made me aware of corporate opportunities my band can participate in in the future.  

How did the program prepare you for your next steps?   

I hope to submit a FACTOR application for the Juried Sound Recording and will be reaching out to CMI for support with my application.
