Financial Literacy for the Music Industry is headed to Halifax and Ottawa in early March
CMI is bringing the Financial Literacy for the Music Industry professional development program on the road to Halifax and Ottawa this March! The purpose of this initiative is to fill a longstanding gap in practical, understandable, and accessible financial mentorship specific to the music industry.
This national initiative is made possible nationally by the generous support of RBC.
The Financial Literacy for the Music Industry program is FREE and is open for up to 20 musicians and music industry professionals in Halifax and Ottawa respectively.
The two-day program will take place on the following dates:

The Halifax program is also supported by Music Nova Scotia
Ottawa, ON: March 7 & 8, 2026, 10am – 4pm, at the Ottawa Art Gallery (50 Mackenzie King Bridge)
The Ottawa program is also supported by the Ottawa Music Industry Coalition and Ontario Creates.

Limited spaces are available, so early applications are strongly encouraged! Apply now! Eligible participants must be 18 years of age or older, actively working in the music industry, and available for both days of the program. You will be contacted once applications close if you are chosen to be part of the program.
For Ottawa: Priority will be given to OMIC members.
