Introducing Monthly Blog from Vel Omazic, CMI’s Co-Founder & Executive Director: Vel’s View

Hi friends,

As you may have noticed, CMI has a new website. You may have also seen it has a “blog” feature. Well, it’s a growing and hungry beast that feeds on content.

We also have Taija, our new digital marketing coordinator. She also demands content. Thankfully though, not as a part of her diet.

To do my part, I’ll be serving-up the blog, and Taija, with at least one written post per month. Who knows, if creative or business inspiration strikes, and time permits, maybe more.

It’s called Vel’s View.

You can expect to read everything from throwback stories, which I’ve been writing with the frequency of a lunar eclipse; artist features; industry tributes; interviews; my point of view on music industry issues; arts entrepreneurship; music sector infrastructure; artist development; what it’s like to work at CMI; and topics that may have little or nothing to do with music at all.

If there’s a subject you want to hear from me about, please reach out and suggest it. I take requests.

It’s most definitely outside of my comfort zone to be overly public, but the blog space has to eat.
